I almost finished Persona 3, but I won't have access to my PS2 for a while so I'm playing "The World Ends with You" for now. Anyone on my f-list got that one? It's sure hard to get good at the battle system but I appreciate how unique it is. And you can't play it with half your brain turned off like many other RPG battles which is a good thing.

I also got lucky yesterday and bought Digital Devil Saga 1 + 2 for a great price. Can't wait to try it. Of course there's also Persona 4, "The Answer" in Persona 3 etc. etc.

I have way too many unfinished games, but since I don't plan on buying a PS3, Wii or XBOX 360° in the nearest future I at least won't run out on games any time soon.
And besides, for many more obscure RPGs it's good to buy them early since there aren't many copies in circulation to begin with and let it lie for a year rather than desperately hunting it 5 years in the future. (Though it is gratifying to succeed at buying a hard-to-find game, especially if the price is low and the condition A+++.)

In case that anyone wonders why I'm not commenting: I'll be gone for three weeks starting tomorrow.

So, due to the one-year-thing the game has a sort of time constraint, doesn't it?

Is it hard to stay within that limit?

I've noticed that quite a few people on my flist are really the most passionate about ships that are not canon, or at least not in the sense of being mutual or having a classic happily-ever-after. Something which is often the case for main pairings.
So dear flist, share what main canon ships you like (not necessarily in the OTP sense) or find at least really well done even if it's not your cup of tea!
(I'm mostly interested in Anime and Manga ships, but other stuff is fine, too.)

Remember, it's gotta be a main pairing(s). Ranking is cool but not mandatory.

My personal affection factored most strongly in this ranking, but sometimes cold hard logic (better writing...) influenced my choice more:

3.Rock/Revy (Black Lagoon) - This one is more like a canon ship in the making and since the series isn't over yet I can't say if there will be an explicit hookup

5.Makoto/Ifurita (El Hazard) - This one is sooo old school and obscure! <3
6.Haji/Saya (Blood+)
7.Godai/Kyoko (Maison Ikkoku) old school again
8.Masamori/Tokine (Kekkaishi)
9.Shuri/Sarasa (Basara)
10.Ichigo/Rukia (guess which series ;P)
11. Ed/Winry (Full Metal Alchemist, manga only)
12.Roy/Riza (technically not a main ship since Ed's the hero, not Roy, but Roy/Riza has more screen time than Ed/Winry, I think, so it gets kinda weird)
13.Guts/Casca (Berserk)

Wow, more than I thought.

So, since I've been procrastinating a lot recently, I read and watched (mostly read) quite a few series which I saw praised and recced all over the 'net or which are/were popular in the past, so naturally I had to figure out what the fuss was all about.
And, since I don't talk with my lj friends nearly enough I figured that I could find out this way if anyone knows or likes these series, too, or if I can even talk them into reading/watching said series.
